OverviewIn this poetry collection, Herschel revisits old feelings and new fascinations. After the pandemic beginning in 2019 swallowed the foundational years of Herschel's adulthood, the poet turned back toward what they found solace in while in college and slowly attempted to construct another collection. Filled with previously unreleased poems meant for collections that never came to pass and poems written especially for this one, late blooming chrysanthemums finds the poet trying to rediscover their passion for poetry and their drive for literary history. Mourning what you could have never had, reaping what has been sown for you, and blinking into the world too late to discover any of its magic or partake of any of its fruit. That is Herschel's fourth collection.
