He obtained Ph.D. from the University of Western Sydney and M.A. from the University of Sydney. Previously, Dr. Akimoto was a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar at the University of Sydney, Assistant Professor at Soka University, and an Official Secretary in the House of Representatives.
