Kathleen Finerty, born in Birmingham, Alabama, earned her Nursing degree from Jefferson State Community College and continued her education at Bevill State Community College and the University of Alabama. She is also certified as an Emergency Medical Technician from Bessemer State Technical College and served as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT. A devoted family member, Kathleen is a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She has published over 15 poems through The International Society of Poets, receiving multiple awards. Inspired by her 40 years in the medical field and her loved ones, she continues to write passionately.
