[An] important book... Lucas, as one of the world's bravest and most principled politicians, is perfectly positioned to share hard-won wisdom that will help us - Naomi Klein For all those who want to understand better how Parliament works and how deficient it is in delivering the radical social and environmental agenda now so desperately needed, this is the book for you to read... [Lucas] is an inspiration to us all - Michael Meacher MP Caroline Lucas is a fighting, campaigning MP who courageously stands up for her beliefs and many of the key defining issues of social, economic and environmental justice, so it is a relief that she has put down her Parliamentary experiences. These words will empower and inspire all of us who believe our democracy is under threat, and desperately want to do something about it - Owen Jones This account of Lucas's experiences in Westminster reads like the field journal of an incredulous anthropologist stumbling on an unusual tribe... Even more powerfully, it opens the door on a political past we are condemned to live with and sniffs the stale air of an institution to which we outsource our democracy -Andrew Simms, Guardian
