Author Information

Janette Conger is Crow Creek Sioux/ Cherokee and an enrolled member of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe in Ft. Thompson, South Dakota. She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, where she now resides. She began writing poetry at the age of fourteen, and has won awards along her journey. Janette has three previously published poetry books and continues to write poetry daily. She has four grown children and three grandchildren.
