She studied English Literature at the University of Exeter before training as a person-centred therapist, and now lives in the South East of England with her husband. She won the National Poetry Competition in 2023 for her poem 'The Time I Was Mugged in New York City'. She won the Troubadour International Poetry Prize in 2024, and has received commendations in the New Poets Prize, the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award, the Montreal International Poetry Prize, The Moth Poetry Prize, the Plough Poetry Prize and the Winchester Poetry Prize.
