Erdem studies on digitalization of media and advertising. She has published papers in several journals, conference proceedings, chapters in edited books about digital media and advertising. Dr. Cansu Mayadağlı was born in Samsun in 1988. She completed her master's degree in Media and Communication Management at the Institute of Social Sciences at Yeditepe University in 2018. She then completed her doctoral studies in the Department of Advertising and Promotion at Marmara University's Institute of Social Sciences.
