OverviewWhat truly enthralls me about writing stories is the control. The narrative and characters are entirely in my hand. I can decide who is rich, who is poor, who is the hero, and who is pushed to the sidelines. You, my dear reader, have no say in the matter. Your role is completely passive; you only receive what I have decided for you. In real-life narratives, however, the author's control weakens. Reality sets the rules, and truth must be adhered to. The author can play no careless games with the characters or the plot. The focus becomes the molding of language to realistically portray the string of events. Yet your role, dear reader, remains passive, without interference. But here, this tale - largely based on real events - unfolds in the form of a novel, chronicling events that transpire in Arab countries, particularly Egypt and Jordan. These events aren't too distant in the past; however, I believe they are deeply rooted in history because they have been part of God's plan since the beginning of time. Even though they have surfaced in our timeline, they end with us as we stand on the lapse of ages.
