Biography Dr. Nesrine Gafsi , PhD, PMP, is an Associate Professor of Finance at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Sfax, Tunisia, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). With over a decade of academic and research experience in Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, Dr. Gafsi has taught a wide range of finance and business courses and supervised numerous student research projects. Her research focuses on sustainable finance, green growth, fintech, and the application of advanced methods—including machine learning—to financial and economic analysis. She has published in Scopus-indexed journals such as the Journal of Risk and Financial Management and the International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy. She has also presented her work at leading international conferences in Tunisia, France, and across the MENA region. In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Gafsi actively contributes to academic service, serving on scientific and steering committees for international symposia on sustainability, the blue economy, and corporate social responsibility. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English, and is also engaged in creative pursuits as a visual artist.
