As a sociologically trained criminologist I appreciate the social application of information for future law enforcement professionals. The comparative sections [are] invaluable to the students in today's climate. This is, by far, the strongest aspect of the text. [The global/international] perspective is IMPERATIVE [to my students]. Given the events of 9-11, students must realize that the world shrunk. Author InformationMichael J. Palmiotto, PhD, is Professor of Criminal Justice at Wichita State University.
