A comparison of Remarque's anti-war prose with the works of Lewis Grassic Gibbon, the discussion in Osnabruck about the film ""All Quiet on the Western Front"" around 1930, and the connection between Remarque's novel ""All Quiet on the Western Front"" and Felix Nussbaum's works from the 1920s in relation to New Objectivity complete the volume.
