Dan Russell is an Arkansas native whose fiction captures the people, tensions, and landscapes of the American South. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing from Concordia University-St. Paul. His work explores family, faith, class, and the weight of place. He is the author of the novels Lies We Choose to Believe and Poor Birds. This is his first poetry collection.
