""Dumb Tattoo"" captures the best of my daily drawings. Celebrating the creative possibilities of tattoo designs. All of the pieces in this edition have been created from 2024-2025. This picks up where my first book, ""Tattoo Flash, Drawings and Paintings by Jeff Wise"" left off, with over 150 new hand drawn pieces. Use this book as a jumping off point for your next tattoo, artistic inspiration, or just a fun coffee table book. The images contained are heavily inspired by traditional American flash. This book can be enjoyed by people of all ages.I have always been into art making, a passion that was put on hold in my mid 20s due to substance abuse issues. In 2019 I made the choice to seek help for my substance abuse and my life changed forever. I rekindled my passion for art making and having fun sober. I decided that because I had made time for substances every day for years, I could make time to create art every single day. This has proven a huge part of my recovery journey. In 2021 I decided it was time to finish my college degree. Working on college courses at night after a full time day job, caring for my family, working a program of recovery, and keeping to my self imposed rule of making art every day proved challenging. I graduated from University of Missouri St. Louis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2023 and continue to make art every single day.
