Down At The Devlin Bakery is her first published novel. Creating stories and populating them with lively characters is a true passion for Deborah. Crafting them into a full-length novel has brought her much joy and a great sense of accomplishment. In 2020, Deborah won the Daughters of the American Revolution 3rd place national award for her story, The 19th Amendment; How A Revolution Healed My Momma's Heart. Deborah is the sole owner of a successful interior design business she started in 2001. However, her genealogy research led her to write short stories that reflect her favorite family memories. Ultimately, it inspired her to write, Down At The Devlin Bakery. She leads a small group of writers in this endeavor, encouraging them to record family history for future generations. When Deborah is not writing, she is an avid reader of books based on the origin of our country, historical fiction, and non-fiction. Deborah and her husband, Ken, spend vacation and leisure time in the White Mountains of Arizona with their two Havanese dogs, Remy and Sophie.
