Holder of UNESCO and ERA Chairs, he has secured major EU funding and published over 100 works. His pioneering research in 3D reconstruction has earned awards such as the IBM and Tartessos Prizes, advancing global heritage digitisation and preservation. João Martins is Full Professor at NOVA School of Sciences and Technology, Lisbon, Portugal. With over 100 publications in books and journals and 200 conference papers, he has led numerous national and international projects. He is a leading scientist at CTS/UNINOVA, focusing on cultural tourism and energy efficiency. Lorenzo Cantoni is Professor at USI – Università della Svizzera italiana, Lugano, Switzerland, where he directs the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication. He holds the UNESCO Chair in ICT for sustainable tourism at World Heritage Sites, established in 2013, and researches digital communication and cultural heritage.
