Jamil Akhtar currently holds the esteemed position of an Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. His academic journey, from matriculation to his post-doctorate research at the University of Oxford, UK, has been characterized by an unwavering commitment to excellence. In recognition of his exceptional scholarly contributions, he was honored with the prestigious research award ""International Postdoctoral Scholarship"" from PHEC in Pakistan in 2021. This esteemed award facilitated his tenure at the Oxford Centre for Religion and Culture, RPC at the University of Oxford, UK. During his tenure, he collaborated closely with the distinguished Professor Dr. Paul Weller. Dr. Jamil achieved the remarkable feat of securing the first position in the Seerah research writing competition, held by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Pakistan. His scholarly research pursuits have also taken him across borders, as he was selected to participate in two renowned Religious Summer Schools in 2022.
