Overview

Maylis Serenica never expected to live past the age of twenty. In the isolated city of Dramacia, all adults are taken to who-knows-where and the kids are left to fend for themselves-forbidden to leave the town where it seems the are destined to die. Because of this, Maylis and her friends never expected to see the outside world. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Maylis and her friends are snatched by guards who take them away from Dramacia and to the capital of Kilsaleum, a land they never dreamed of seeing. When they ended up at the king's castle, they are surprised by its beauty and Maylis is shocked when she meets the king, who is barely older than herself. Even more, he seems drawn to her, much to her dismay. Through a series of events involving hidden doors, dark tunnels, seers, and other strange occurences, Maylis and her friends discover a complex web of secrets and lies.
