OverviewIn the last century, the United States was protected from a direct physical attack by its adversaries due to its geographic isolation. However, today any adversary with sufficient capability can exploit vulnerabilities in the United States' critical network infrastructures using cyber warfare and leverage physical attacks to significantly impact the lives of its citizens and erode their confidence in its ability to protect their way of life. This AY-10 student research paper provides information to assist senior leaders working to prevent or to minimize the effects of future cyber attacks by a nation state or non-state actor against the United States' critical network infrastructures.
