Popkova, Doctor of Economics, is Founder and President of the Institute of Scientific Communications (Volgograd, Russia) and Leading Researcher of the Center for applied research of the chair “Economic Policy and Public-Private Partnership” of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), Moscow, Russia. He is Author of more than 188 publications in Scopus (h index: 31), Editor of more than 50 books and a large number of special issues of international peer-reviewed scientific journals, Member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Economic Policy in Emerging Economies and the International Journal for Quality Research, and Recipient of Highly Commended Paper Award for the journal On the Horizon for 2020 (Emerald). He teaches international economics at the University of Messina and is Scientific Director of the International Center for Emerging Markets Research at RUDN University, Moscow. Since 2009, he has coached two networks of trade-union economic experts: the SEE TUs Economic Experts’ Network and the NIS TUs Economic Experts’ Network, both of which are under the framework of the Pan-European Regional Council of the International Trade Union Confederation.
