Table of ContentsReviewsTom writes: On first glance most people dismiss Cow Boy as silly romp set in the Wild West through the eyes of its 10 year old protagonist Boyd Linney, as soon as you start to read this glorious little book you realise that this is anything but. Boyd is a serious young man on a serious mission; collecting the bounties on the many scoundrels in his family. Boyd is stubborn, uncompromising and a little precocious too but his attitude comes from taking a strong moral stance in such a morally compromised environment. It was this conflict that I found so engaging and it's one that younger readers can also take a lot from too. The cartooning by Chris Eliopoulos hits the right beats emotionally and for such simple artwork conveys so much emotion and humour with expert subtlety. I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, I can't recommend it enough!
