The two volumes synthesize insights from 40 years of teaching and clinical practice as a Christian counselor. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Christ are revealed in Scripture! Youth, couples, parents, old folks, the anxious, the despairing, and the grieving are counseled with the mind of Christ when the counselor's own mind is saturated with the Word of Christ. When secular and Biblical psychology are properly distinguished, generic and Christian counseling are distinctly different. Dr. Don Ott is an ordained evangelist and licensed psychologist with ministries based in Russellville, Arkansas since 1987. His doctorate is from Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada, California and he is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He served on seven church staffs in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and California, and was adjunct professor for Mid-South Christian College in Memphis, Tennessee for 32 years. In 1994, he established Christian Psychological Resources, which provides outpatient services locally and leadership development seminars globally. As a mental-health missionary, he has made over 45 trips to 15 countries on six continents, and has directed Cuba Bible Institute in Havana since 2009. Don and Johniece married in 1970. They have two daughters, three sons, and seven grandchildren. He enjoys fishing, swimming, photography, and running.
