Comparative Legal Systems

Overview

Legal systems around the world reflect the diverse historical, cultural, and philosophical foundations upon which societies are built. Understanding these differences allows for meaningful comparison and collaboration in a globalized legal environment. Comparative Legal Systems provides an analytical overview of major legal traditions, including common law, civil law, Islamic law, and customary law. The book discusses the evolution of legal institutions, sources of law, and methods of judicial reasoning. It also explores globalization's impact on national legal frameworks and transnational cooperation. Through comparative case studies, it equips students and legal professionals with insights into how various systems address justice, governance, and legal reform.
