Author Information

Jacqueline Witter-Easley, EdD, is a former elementary teacher, children’s librarian, and reading specialist. She is currently a professor of Education at Carthage College, where she teaches courses in emergent literacy methods and culturally responsive instruction. She is the founder and director of the Carthage College Community Literacy Center, located in the heart of Kenosha, WI.
