Slow down! Recently a client was questioning whether her grandson had attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She admitted that her grandson has never been tested, but he has always been on the go. She said that she is always telling him to ""slow down"". ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder and is the most common mental disorder affecting children and adolescents. ADHD often begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood. It may contribute to low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and difficulty at school.
