5.0 out of 5 stars So Much Great Info Here!!! Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2024This chess guide covers so much. Don't let the title fool you into thinking it's only for beginners. Yes, it's a great introduction to the game. It includes the history and the board. The set up of the pieces. All the beginner things you need to know. But it also delves into a great many strategies both offensive and defensive. It covers a number of openings for both white and black as well as defensive strategies as well. There is a lot of great stuff in this book. I love the game and I never stop learning and I found this book not only enjoyable but educational as well. Highly Recommended!!! 5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive guide tp playing chess Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2024Chess for beginners highlighting strategy, combinations with real world examples. If you are a beginner this book is for you. 5.0 out of 5 stars very helpful guide Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2024I found this guide to be very comprehensive. Not only does it provide all the beginner chess basics you need to know, but it also provides more complex lessons. Things like key strategies and defense moves. This book might be geared for beginners, but it has good information for the intermediate player too. 5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and helpful tips! Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2024Great strategies for beginners. Well written guide. The diagrams are also a nice touch. This book has really helped me improve my chess game! 5.0 out of 5 stars Guide for beginners and pros alike Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2024Chess Strategies for Beginners explained how to read the board and showed the different tactics and strategies used in the game. This book highlighted different opening play patterns, and they demonstrated how they incorporated the various chess tactics described earlier on. Real-life games from renowned chess masters were also used to back up the points made in this book. The author's knowledge of the subject was evident in how he explained why some of those gameplays were made, and I enjoyed learning how and why they were all very good plays. I rate this book 5 out of 5 for its potential to create better players. Reading this book along with practice will make a player better.
