This most recent addition to the prestigious Methods in Enzymology series complements, rather than competes with, the numerous books available on these topics, which generally focus on either synthetic or chemical biology or specific aspects thereof (e.g., Inorganic Chemical Biology or Systems Biology Application in Synthetic Biology ), but not both, and rarely offer the detailed descriptions of specific methods and procedures found in this book. --Doody

Dr. Arun K. Shukla is a world leader in the field of GPCR biology and he is currently a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at the Institute of Technology, Kanpur in India. Dr. Shukla’s research program is focused on understanding the structure, function and regulation of G protein-coupled receptors with a long-term of designing novel therapeutics with minimized side-effects.
