Peter Sullivan is an Australian mathematics education expert and Emeritus Professor of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education at Monash University. He has had a distinguished career combining research into mathematical task design with the development of practical teaching resources and classroom-based trials. Sullivan played a key role in shaping mathematics education in Australia. He authored the foundational paper The Shape of the Australian Mathematics Curriculum and later served as the lead writer for the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, contributing to its ongoing development.
