Ceylon: Book Two of the Treeborn Trilogy

Overview

Having lost his family in a brutal attack by road bandits, Ceylon is found hiding in the rubble of his family's burned out wagon by the leaders of another passing caravan. Many days later, the group reaches the Maple stand, where Ceylon meets Mapaline and her brothers, Saela, and the rest of the treeborns in residence there. Ceylon also meets Rolf, and the two have much to talk about. After time to recuperate and prepare, restless and alone, Ceylon leaves the stand and strikes out on his own. Where is he going? Why would he leave the comfort and safety of these families, and what dangers will he face in the Great Wilderness?

Reviews

In Book Two of the Treeborn Trilogy, Ceylon, we begin to see a bigger picture of the world that our Treeborn heroes inhabit. The author continues his narration of the story and his commentary to the reader, drawing us into the experience, making it more real. We learn that the Treeborn are known by another name in the wider world. We learn that other entities (with agendas) may not be friendly. And we see how our lowly heroes are important in giving goodness a chance to prevail. So the adventure deepens, as we readers enjoy the discoveries, the suspense, the speculation about how this will all end. I can hardly wait for Book Three! - LHK, Amazon Even better than the first book. My kids devoured this when it first came out, and I finally had a chance to catch up with them. There's a good amount of adventure, but I appreciate that it's appropriate for all ages. The audiobook is very well done and easy to listen to! - KE, Amazon After reading the first book, Mapaline, I was so anxious to read the second book! Ceylon was a great continuation and I loved getting to know the different characters and how they fit into this great adventure!! I am anxiously waiting to read the third and final book! By the way, I am 67! All of my grandchildren have their copies, but I am THOROUGHLY enjoying my own! These books are enjoyed by all ages! - Kathy, Amazon After reading book 1, my son was waiting for the release of this book. It's so wonderful to have good content for children to read. Our whole family was excited to read this adventure. - Kelly Poulin This is a great continuation of the story started in Mapaline. The suspense is building and I can't wait to read the conclusion in the next book. The author has done a great job in building the world of the treeborns. - Amazon customer We loved the first book in the series and couldn't wait for Ceylon to come out. This book was worth the wait, my kids loved Ceylon too and now can't wait for book three to come out to see what happens next. They loved the new characters especially Feep and Ceylon! This is definitely a great read your kids won't want to put down! - Amazon customer
