Can't physics be simple?: On laws of nature, matter, and equilibrium

Overview

This book is about physics at the fundamental level. It presents a new paradigm of physics and offers explanations for some of the most puzzling physics mysteries. The book aims to fill the gap left by many modern physicists who seem to have little interest in explaining physical effects, as they tend to focus on describing and predicting those effects (with great success, one has to concede). Because explanations of physical effects are rare, progress in fundamental physics has been slow. As a result, after centuries of study, we still don't know the basics. For instance, we don't know what matter is, why matter and energy are equivalent, why gravitational and inertial masses are numerically equal, why an electron doesn't fall onto a nucleus, what temperature and heat are, why an apple falls from a tree so slowly, what the physics underlying sun-planet interactions is, why stellar coronae have to exist, what the most critical result of the LIGO experiment was, or why a car driver feels a force of inertia immediately after pressing the gas pedal. This book suggests answers to such questions through the consideration of a proposed paradigm of fundamental physic. The most essential hypothesis put forward in this book is the dehumanization of fundamental physics, meaning the removal of human-mind attributes from the behavior of nature. It is hypothesized that nature is unable to do any of the things the physicist can. For instance, nature cannot measure time and space, remember things, make decisions, measure and realize quantities, account for fictitious forces, do mathematics, and so on. Once that hypothesis is accepted as being rational, some of the most outstanding conundrums in current physics, such as the quantum entanglement effect and the double-slit experiment results, can be explained in very simple terms. That fundamental physics is extremely simple is the central conclusion of this book.
