Overview

Circumambulations is the first monograph of the Swedish artist Arijana Kajfes. It presents her body of work since the late 1980s, categorised according to the themes: Light, Circles, Rotation, Spirals, Earth, Domes, Body, Fire, and Sound. In close collaboration with the graphic designer Sandra Praun, Kajfes developed the content, both image and text, as a work-in-progress. The loose form of a sketchbook allows for the incorporation of notes, quotations, and cross-references, providing the reader with deep insight into Kajfes's working process. The publication concludes with a conversation between Arijana Kajfes and art critic Lars-Erik Hjertström Lappalainen.
