Overview

Mankind has led the Earth into ruin. Hubris and greed brought forth infernal deals to gain positions of power, and prestige. Reinforced by the acquisition of advanced sciences, humanity has attempted to wield the power of a god and instead caused suffering at catastrophic levels. Each time, man rebuilt, believing that they could correct their mistakes and make the world a better place and each time they failed causing the most tragic consequences imaginable. Nuclear energy, greenhouse emissions, global warming, weapons of mass destruction, and biological warfare all cost millions of lives, but nothing compared to the final disaster that brought the Apocalypse to the planet. Supercomputers and untested science brought man to the next level of destruction. Scientists believed that they could replicate the birth of a black hole by accelerating particles in an enormous device known as a Hadron Super Collider.
