Denise Wendel-Poray is a Canadian writer, editor and curator. She is the author of books and essays concerning the relationship between art, theatre and music. Her books with Skira include The Last Days of the Opera (2022) and Painting the Stage: Artists as Stage Designers (2019). Robert Storr is an American artist, curator and critic. Curator and senior curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (from 1990 to 2002), he has been a contributing editor at Art in America since 1981 and writes frequently for Artforum, Parkett, Art Press (Paris), Frieze (London), and Corriere della Sera (Milan). From 2005 to 2007 he was visual arts director of the Venice Biennale, the first American invited to assume that position.
