Overview

When Mia was rescued from an unspeakably bad plight by two cyborg augments known only as ""Electra"" and ""Aster,"" she felt she owed her renewed lease on life to a larger-than-life duo. Inspired by their example, she asked for only one thing: that they teach her how to become like them. Yet as she trained to begin her new life, she realized the charmed existence of her rescuers was not what it appeared. A mysterious accountant seemed to live in their shadow, watching their every move. With his strong connection to Philosophia, an AI with wide-reaching influence, his continued appearances only served to concern Mia. Each string he seemed to pull in her favor also demonstrated a beholden relationship she did not relish for anyone, much less her closest friends and rescuers. Securing her a new life with a group of reputable mercenaries called the Rail Drivers, she learned she'd joined not only a crew but a way of life like few others: one involving an eclectic array of surprisingly technologically literate yet wary individuals.
