A Manifesto on Living Art

Overview

""A Manifesto on Living Art"" serves as the intellectual and spiritual backbone of this collection. It is a bold declaration that life itself is the ultimate canvas, and every individual possesses the sovereign power to craft a masterpiece from their daily existence. The essay challenges the traditional, narrow definitions of ""art,"" arguing that creativity is not a specialized skill for a select few, but a universal birthright. According to Psyche, true art is defined by the conscious act of invoking an emotional response-whether through the precision of a mechanic fixing brakes, the meditative purification of cleaning a home, or the unconditional sharing of love. The essay outlines the ""Way of the Heart,"" a commitment to navigating life through internal truth and intuition rather than external validation. It concludes with a call to radical self-reliance, asserting that every person is ""Almighty"" and must take absolute responsibility for sculpting their own reality. The Decade Collection: 2015-2026 This look book chronicles a pivotal decade of artistic evolution, capturing the transition of Andrey Psyche from a scientific researcher to a master of ""Living Art."" The Early Years (2015-2016): From Industry to Expression Following his departure from the medical track, these years represent the ""breaking of the seal"" on Psyche's creative energy. The collection highlights his early work in custom manufacturing, where he applied his biological learning techniques to program CNC machinery. The photography captures the birth of his artistry through intricate engravings and the initial ""interchange of techniques"" between industrial tools and creative expression. The Abstract Evolution (2016): Mentalmorphosis This period features the 32 abstract images that formed the foundation of his first major work, Expedition of the Psyche. The visuals during these years represent a ""complete loss of control,"" reflecting his deep dive into meditation and inner work. The artwork from this era serves as a visual record of ""The Cleanse""-the process of organizing the physical world to mirror a smooth, internal flow of thoughts. AND MORE... The Look Book Experience This photography book is more than a retrospective; it is a visual ""rescue mission"" for the soul. By pairing the evocative imagery of Psyche's decade of creation with the principles of his Manifesto, the book invites the viewer to stop waiting for permission and to recognize that they are, and always have been, the masterpiece. It captures the scars, the flames, and the triumphs of a decade spent proving that when you follow your heart, the universe opens up to support your path.

Author Information

Andrey Psyche, also known as Andrey Pavlenko, was born in Magnitogorsk, Russia, in 1991 and migrated to the United States in 2002. Initially pursuing a career in medicine, he earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington and worked with a physician for over a year. Despite receiving multiple offers to attend medical school, he declined them and instead joined his mother's custom manufacturing business. Using the same learning techniques he mastered in school, he quickly taught himself to program and run CNC machinery, an act that ""broke the seal"" on his bottled-up creative energy. His transition into the arts began with small engravings but soon evolved into a unique style of abstract painting that depends on a ""complete loss of control,"" reflecting his lifestyle of meditation, health, and inner work. Psyche further expanded his creative reach into music and songwriting, teaching himself guitar and attributing his rapid growth to the ""abstract principles"" he learned through painting. He maintains that ""Art is art, whether it's paint or music,"" as both share a fundamental processing that allows an artist to interchange techniques between different disciplines. His core philosophy is built on the belief that everyone is an artist, as artistry is defined not by a medium like paint or clay, but by the conscious effort to create an emotional response. He advocates for radical self-reliance, teaching that every individual is ""almighty"" and holds the power to construct their own destiny by following their heart and taking absolute responsibility for their life.
