Reviews

Just finished reading the book @Sanjiv Mehta. Sanjiv Mehta’s A CEO’s Brew is not a textbook on leadership, nor a lecture in disguise, it is a journey. He invites us to travel alongside him, not as students in a classroom but as co-passengers, experiencing the pressures, dilemmas, empathy, celebration, and passion that define true leadership. What stands out is his conviction that human comes before revenue, a principle woven into every chapter. The book introduces the beautiful idea of “Humbition”, a blend of humility and ambition, that perfectly reflects Sanjiv’s leadership style. For me, having spent nearly 25 years at Unilever, this resonates deeply. I have always admired how he nurtured leaders with conviction, never coercion, and how his words carried weight because they were grounded in authenticity. This book is a must-read for every Unilever executive, past or present, and for current and upcoming corporate and non-corporate leaders at every stage of their journey. It is a celebration of leadership that is empathetic, courageous, and human. Personally, it is a moment of pride to see his philosophy distilled into these pages, and I wish him many more opportunities to share his wisdom with the world. Thank you, Sanjiv.
