OverviewMing Wong is the fifth Artist in Residence at the National Gallery. His practice encompasses film, performance, painting and installation. This book will serve as an introduction to Ming Wong's work and as a record of the artist's residency at the National Gallery. Texts by Russell Storer and Annabel Jackson will provide an overview of the artist's past works and a context for his project in the Gallery, alongside new material produced by the artist during his residency. The first book in over a decade dedicated to Wong's work, this volume will include recent projects by the artist that have engaged with speculative futures, sci-fi aesthetics, Sino-American relations, and cross-gender opera - all popular themes that appeal to audiences today.
