How to use the Better Read Than Dead (BRTD) website to order books.

Ask Miss Hannah via our secure online form - to order any book whether in our online lists or not - or if you have any enquires. Miss Hannah will promptly reply to your order or request.
You can Ask Miss Hannah to find any book for you, from a new release title to the rare and obscure. With her own extensive knowledge, plus the resources of our suppliers in the US and UK, there's very little she can't find.
Just click Ask Hannah in the menu to contact her using our secure Customer Service Form. To order books using the Ask Hannah secure form, simply enter your titles and add your details. A secure form protects personal and credit card details sent over the internet.
To order book titles click on the Order Form button in the menu on the left. This will transfer you to the BRTD secure server, where you can enter your details and nominate which books you wish to order.

All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are Goods and Services Tax (GST ) inclusive. For customers outside Australia, GST does not apply, and we will deduct the GST (one 11th of the advertised cost) before charging your credit card.
Occasionally prices may change for reasons beyond our control and in this case we reserve the right to vary advertised prices. We will contact you to confirm delivery and pricing details before processing your order.

For the security of your credit card and personal details sent over the internet the secure Ask Mandy and Checkout forms are protected by (SSL) 128 bit encryption. When you enter a secure page a closed lock symbol is displayed at the bottom of your browser. No customer records are kept online for further protection of your information.
Security Warning Notice Window - Depending on your browser or firewall settings, you may see a security warning notice window the first time you access the secure Ask Mandy or Checkout pages.
Just click Yes to confirm that you wish to use this secure page and proceed to safely use the secure Customer Service or Order Form. This is normal procedure as the site uses the certificate provided by our ISP, Pacific Net (www.pacific.net.au). You will not see the Notice Window again with that browser.
The use of both an anti-virus and personal firewall program on your computer is also advised. Don't forget to regularly update your virus and security definitions!
BRTD undertakes to comply with the Privacy Act (1988) of the Commonwealth of Australia and relevant amendments. We guard the information you entrust us with and will not release your information to any third party without your permission, except where required to by law.

BRTD uses Australia Post regular parcel post for delivery within Australia. Local customers may choose to save the cost of packing and post and collect the book from the store. Overseas customers will be contacted with delivery and pricing details prior to order fulfillment.
Our usual* delivery costs within Australia are:
For 1-3 items $5.95
Over 3 items $7.95.
If a book is faulty in any way, e.g. if it is misbound or the printing is illegible, BRTD will replace the item at our cost provided it is returned within 30 days of placing the order. Return the order to our address below in the original packing and we will replace the book and refund your postage.
Should you change your mind once you have received the order, BRTD will exchange or offer a credit note only if the order is returned to the address below in a mint, unread condition together with proof-of-purchase within 30 days of placing the order.

Club Read is our frequent shopper program which rewards customers who regularly shop with BRTD. When a Club Read member spends more than $320.00 in a six month period, BRTD rebates 10% of the total purchases by gift voucher, e.g, purchases of $500.00 are rewarded with a $50.00 gift voucher. Note: the six month period starts from the first day of the month in which the customer joins Club Read and at the end of this period the next six month period begins. Purchases both on-line and in-store accrue to your Club Read total.
