Camperdown Park
Our Writers' Tent is scrubbed and awaiting the crowds for this year's Newtown Festival. We're showcasing some really great authors this year. Some will amuse you, some will surprise you, some will even shock you as they share the secrets of their writing and the passions that have led to their books being written.
We thank all of our publishers for their support of the tent. Without them, and their authors, a Writers Tent would be a pretty lonely place.
Local and national poets bring their high energy poetry to kick off the day.
More or Less: Siblinghood and the Only Child
Tegan Bennett Daylight, Ashley Hay and Charlotte Wood compare experiences of siblinghood and the only child, through their contributions to Brothers & Sisters - a brand-new collection of writing about siblings by 12 of Australia's finest writers.

Musician, writer, and iconic illustrator Reg Mombassa talks with Murray Waldren about his life as a writer, musician and designer, from his days with the Mentals to his work on Mambo for the Sydney Olympics and more, demonstrating he still has plenty of inspiration left.
