OverviewA montage of text and image appropriated from disparate sources Zynthetik Theater maps a phenomenology of dissociation and derealised production, adopting models and concepts from philosophy of psychiatry as components for a methodology both playfully carnivalesque and systematically meticulous - mirrored in the origins of assemblge as avant-garde method and modern phenomenology itself in relation to dissociative contexts and the absent subject. Its intuitive catalyst that the elusive content of dissociative phenomena possess a disclosive potential indicating an alternate hallucinatory or delusional realism visible as a lexical plasticity of words such as theater, plastic, and synthetic along with uncannily excessive appearances of the Zee and its apophenic occupation of key nodes within the Theater. This emergent zynthetik lexicon emerges as neither strictly expressive nor literal but a trail of inadequate, makeshift, mutating props - actors stammering plastic remnants upon the surface of an elusive architecture reliant upon a radical shift; not in theory or speculative thought, but in the essential co-ordinates of perception itself as affect. For this reason, Zynthetik Theater is a carnival of relations - a show, not a tell, inviting reader into the role of researcher and delusional apophenic subject; to distrust surface, suspect devils in every detail, to think behind, beneath, and around the printed word and image. Zynthetik Theater is foremost an emergent networkology of metaphors and images as obssesive, delirious piecing together of dissociated knowledge beyond thermo-set boundaries and hermetically sealed echo chambers of aesthetic histories cast as cultural construct, style or fiction. By zynthetik co-ordinates, dissociation becomes phenomenology, phenomenology zynthetik horror, zynthetik horror ancient mythology, ancient mythology quantum physics, quantum physics plasticity, plasticity simulation theory, simulation theory transhumanism, transhumanism alchemy, alchemy dissolution. A rhizome with reins, meta-images for its assembly are the rotational plastics mouldings carousel and diagrammatic Zee as zig zag and dissociative flight. From Twilight Zone, Zarathustra, Godzilla and Ziggy to Oz, Zanni, Zadig, and Z-Machine, to read is to disbelieve. Each page is a full colour photographic scrapbook documentation of the mechanics of its material assembly. Round and round it goes, and if it will ever give up its secrets, nobody knows. - https: //www.newscientist.com/article/dn12796-saturns-rings-hide-sunflowers-and-extra-bulk Full Product DetailsAuthor: Roderick HarrisPublisher: Hemlig Books Imprint: Hemlig Books Volume: 1 Dimensions: Width: 16.80cm , Height: 3.70cm , Length: 26.00cm Weight: 1.306kg ISBN: 9781908811103ISBN 10: 1908811102 Pages: 566 Publication Date: 07 August 2016 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order ![]() We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
