Overview

The book Winter Ship was scheduled to be published in Moscow in the late 1970s but was removed from the publishing plan after David Shrayer-Petrov was expelled from the Union of Writers of the USSR for his intention to emigrate. Half a century later, the uncensored version of the book is being released under the editorship of the writer's son, Professor Maxim D. Shrayer of Boston College. Книга Зимний корабль должна была выйти в Москве в конце 1970-х, но была выброшена из плана издания после исключения Давида Шраера-Петрова из Союза писателей СССР за намерение эмигрировать. Полвека спустя неподцензурный вариант книги выходит в свет под редакцией сына писателя, профессора Бостонского Колледжа Максима Д. Шраера.
