He founded ZEDfactory in 1999 and in 2010 received an OBE for Services to Sustainable Housing Design. He has taught at the Architectural Association, UCL, Kingston University, Harvard, EPFL in Lausanne, and is currently a Visiting Professor of Zero Carbon Urbanism at UCL and at Cardiff University.
