Overview

Soren, the youngest son of a farmer, has always adored stories about wizards and dragons, but he has resigned himself to the reality of living an unremarkable life. His world turns on its head when his parents inform him he will be moving to the king's capital city of Myistae to become the apprentice to a magician named Wolfric. Only, Wolfric isn't anything like the nigh all-powerful wizards from Soren's stories; he's young, arrogant, and obsessed with uncovering the secrets of the past. Before long, Wolfric's eccentricities force Soren to confront a problem he should have had no part in. Soren must rely on his limited knowledge of magic, along with the help of the distractingly beautiful Brigid Abbot, to find a solution and realize his dreams.
