As a child Schaefer studied ballet while also doing theatre and performed in several stage productions. Her Model career started of when she was 3 years old. She was discovered by a child photographer, who worked for major European catalogue companies. Later on Schaefer worked internationally as a Model with Agency's in Europe, Asia and South Africa. Her modelling work has included campaigns for many top designers and sportswear companies including Ferrari, Gucci, Nike, Wolford, Triumph. In the 1990's meanwhile studying psychology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt / Germany, Schaefer resumed her work as an actress and studied with prestigious acting teachers and coaches.
