Mara Bergman was born in the Bronx and grew up in Wantagh, New York. She is the author of Oliver Who Would Not Sleep, illustrated by Nick Maland. Mara Bergman lives in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, with her family. Nick Maland received the Society of Illustrators Silver Medal for Snip Snap! What's That? He has illustrated many books, including You've Got Dragons, written by Kathryn Cave. Nick Maland lives with his family in London, England.
