Dr. Frank McMeen's third book, Your Life Is a Story, connects the stories of Jesus and the Bible to our daily lives using humor and a broad knowledge of the Old and New Testaments. His stories of the people he has met in his life - whether they're the next-door neighbor or the First Lady of the United States -- tell us that our decisions and our words create the pages of our life story. The author writes that he was once a ""rule-keeper"" and says he would have been a good Pharisee. Behave. Believe. Belong. But Jesus did not accept that. The rule-keepers were appalled that Jesus went home with Zacchaeus, a tax collector! With his characteristic humor and great empathy, Dr. McMeen urges Christians to strive toward the mission Jesus left us. That mission is one of mercy, one which calls us to bridge the gap the modern world has carved between people of faith and people who NEED faith, who have struggled with faith, or who have felt excluded from the community of faith. For him, living with faith can be as simple as adopting a hungry little dog on a cold winter day and calling her ""Lucky Dog!"" This book will help the readers recall the many people and events that changed their lives and taught that living life with purpose and meaning should be the goal for all. His stories of family heroes and heroines and people we meet on life's journey leave no doubt that our decisions, words we say, and how we live are ""our life stories."" Dr. McMeen began writing his stories on social media one at a time. Then his many friends, some of them university presidents, urged him to publish a book. The result was Let Me Tell You A Story: Finding Hope in a Hopeless World. The author never intended to write a second volume, but we have It's All About a Story: Be Encouraged and now his third volume, Your Life Is a Story: God Loves Every Page of Your Life. Dr. McMeen is already thinking about Volume IV: Stories from Along the Way: How Life Gives Us Lessons. His readers have said they recommend his books without reservation. Each chapter can stand alone, perfect for an easy daily or weekly devotional read alone or with others. Author Information

For more than two decades, Dr. Frank McMeen has been president of the CommunityFoundation of West Tennessee (formerly known as the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation)in Jackson, Tennessee. He is a former vice president of university advancement at Freed-Hardeman University, a past president of Columbia Academy, and he was an adjunct facultymember at the University of Memphis and Freed-Hardeman University. He has served as president of the Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association off and on for more than ten years, and he was elected to Jackson's City Council. He serves on numerous boards, including the Boys & Girls Club, Jackson Equity Project, and Jackson Rotary Club. He is treasurer of the Tennessee Dental Association Foundation and was president of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities. He received the 2012 Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University of Memphis Alumni Association for the University College Chapter. He enjoys historic preservation and is restoring his thirteenth historic home in Jackson. He loves animals and rescued his dogs, Bonnie May, Lucky Dog, and Minnie Mutt. He worships at Skyline Church. He was raised on a farm outside Columbia, Tennessee, where walking horses were a vital part of his life, with his father winning two world grand championships.
