He is a Vietnam Bronze Medal veteran. After the military, he joined the internal auditing department of E.I.Dupont assigned to cover several plant locations in the Richmond Virginia area. He then passed his examination and became a Certified Public Accountant with the international accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand in Richmond Virginia and later in Newark NJ. He then opened his own accounting firm in Ocean County NJ. He became involved with the SBA SCORE Program at Ocean County College and developed his seminar program ""Your First Critical Year In Business"". He spent over 30 years working with business owners in the 1 to 10 employee market.
