Tommy Wayne Steele was born February 2, 1957 in Iredell County, North Carolina to Annie Mildred Steele. Tommy grew up in a single parent home along with his older sister, Joyce. The odds were double stacked against him. He was the least likely to succeed, and everything around him seemed to say failure! He was told he would never amount to anything, but God had other plans. By the age of 16 Tommy knew that God had something for him to do. He did not know what it was but he was determined to follow the leading of the Lord. Dr. Tommy W. Steele is the Founder and Pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Concord, North Carolina. New Life Baptist Church is a soul winning and Bible Preaching centered ministry, not respective of skin color or station in life. Along with his wife of over 35 years, Tonda Bostick Steele and two sons Micheal and Joshua, Dr. Steele has worked selflessly giving himself to the ministry and God has blessed him richly.
