His spiritual leadership experience includes serving as senior pastor in churches with as few as 12 and as many as 1,200, sometimes serving multiple churches at one time. God has sent him and his family to ten communities where He demonstrated His favor and gave him the wonderful gift of favor with others for thirty-two years as spiritual leader. In 2009 God called Gary from pastoral ministry to prayer ministry for community transformation and spiritual awakening. In 2013 Gary and his wife, Marcia, returned to the home of their childhood in Mills River, North Carolina to help care for their aging parents.
