Overview

In the last decade, and more recently since the pandemic, the push to have open conversations about mental health has created an atmosphere that promotes wellness, helps those in need, and has shaped many new resources available for those suffering. Yet, despite all the conversations, it is often still taboo to talk about your own mental health. Many times, one suffers in silence, and one has trouble being open about their struggles. In hopes of destigmatizing a label of mental illness, You Are Not Your Diagnosis gives testimony to author Julia Melton's diagnosis and healing in a captivating autobiography of her own mental health journey.
