You Are Not Alone: Rest and Refuge for Spousal Caregivers

Overview

You are not invisible. You are not alone. If you're a spousal caregiver--exhausted, overwhelmed, and quietly carrying more than most will ever know--this guided study is for you. In You Are Not Alone, author and former caregiver Linda Waltersdorf Cobourn walks alongside you with honesty, wisdom, and grace. Through personal stories, thoughtful reflection, and deep encouragement from Scripture, Linda invites you to discover what it means to be sheltered under the wings of a faithful God. Each chapter offers: A verse from Psalm 91 to anchor your day A real-life caregiving reflection that won't sugarcoat the struggle Scripture-based insights to renew your heart Gentle questions to help you process your journey A short prayer to help you rest in God's care Whether you are just stepping into the caregiving role or have walked it for many years, this book will remind you of the unshakable truth: You are seen. You are loved. You are carried--one step at a time.

Author Information

Linda Waltersdorf Cobourn, EdD, is an author, educator, and former spousal caregiver. With a doctorate in education and decades of experience as a literacy coach and teacher, she has spent her life helping others find their voice--and now uses her own to uplift fellow caregivers. Linda served as a full-time caregiver to her husband Ron for 19 years while raising three children, including an adult son on the autism spectrum. Her writing combines heartfelt honesty, biblical depth, and gentle encouragement for those walking hard paths. She leads Breath and Ink, a national writing group for Christian authors, and writes the Substack blog. She also administers the Facebook Group, Comfort for Caregivers. Linda lives near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Through every project, her mission remains the same: to remind the weary that they are not invisible, and never alone.
